Mental Health Awareness and Certifications in 2025

In 2025 let's certify 120 people in Adult Mental Health First Aid

Each certification is valued at $180 but Bless This Brain's mission is to provide this training to faith communities for as little as possible so we can make Mental Health First Aid certifications as common as CPR/First Aid.

Because of financial partners like you, we can provide the MHFA certification for only the cost of the MHFA materials and licensing fees.

Bless This Brain is donor funded! If you feel lead to sponsor a training seat, ten seats, or a whole 30 person course it would greatly impact the amount of people we can instruct by removing the financial barrier for supplies!

You can also contribute to instructor travel fees to make trainings outside of Tucson, AZ possible.

WHAT YOU LEARN as an Adult Mental Health First Aider:

The Mental Health First Aid Action Plan

• Assess for risk of suicide or harm
• Listen nonjudgmentally
• Give reassurance and Information
• Encourage appropriate professional help
• Encourage self-help and other support strategies

Interventions Learned

When you take a course, you learn how to apply the Mental Health First Aid action plan in a variety of situations, including when someone is experiencing:

• Panic attacks
• Suicidal thoughts or behaviors
• Nonsuicidal self-injury
• Acute psychosis (e.g., hallucinations or delusions)
• Overdose or withdrawal from alcohol or drug use
• Reaction to a traumatic event
• The opportunity to practice — through role plays, scenarios, and activities — makes it easier to apply these skills in a real-life situation.
