A War on Childhood is a feature documentary and community impact campaign led by Santa Barbara County firefighter-paramedic and filmmaker Martin Papazian. The film examines the rapid transformation of childhood under the influence of smartphones, social media, and artificial intelligence — and the historic rise in youth anxiety, depression, self-harm, and suicide. Driven by a duty to respond, Papazian resorts to documentary filmmaking to awaken and inspire parents, joining forces with pediatricians, child psychologists, researchers, educators, and families working to reclaim and protect the next generation.
