Why We Need a Drop-In Center
When we launched our first support group, 18 people showed up, not for a fancy space, not for a big budget but because they needed somewhere real. Somewhere safe.
Since then, Break The System Project has grown into a grassroots movement. Our mission supporting 231 young adults and 25 households. We’ve hosted healing circles, pop-up resource events, and weekly support groups. showing up consistently, wherever we could. But we’ve outgrown borrowed spaces.
That’s why we’re raising funds to open a dedicated drop-in center. A place where young adults can:
Support daily programs and opperations
Access mutual aid and harm reduction resources
Find a safe space to connect, recharge, or simply feel seen.
We’ve already been doing the work.We want to do it better, safer, and more sustainably.
This drop-in center will be a home for the young adults we serve and an anchor for our work to bridge the gap between survival and success.
