Help Young People Shine Their Light
In memory of Cade Reddington — whose kindness, resilience, and love of adventure touched everyone around him — Cade's Light Fund exists to make sure that light keeps spreading.
The Story
Cade had a rare gift. He made people feel seen, included, and excited about life. When we lost him, those who loved him most asked: how do we keep that spirit alive?
The answer was Cade's Light Fund — a nonprofit initiative dedicated to helping underserved young people discover their own value, build confidence, and learn how to protect their mental and physical well-being.
What Your Gift Does
Your donation funds the Shine Your Light Youth Experience — a program that partners with organizations like the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County to bring middle school students an adventure they wouldn't otherwise have.
Each experience includes:
- A short film introducing Cade's story and the spirit behind the foundation
- A guided conversation about mental wellness, kindness, and asking for help when it's needed
- An adventure field trip — reflecting Cade's love for life and giving students a chance to build confidence and create joyful memories
- A t-shirt and positive message cards to carry the message forward
One experience costs approximately $2,000 and serves 30–50 young people.
The Impact
Every young person who walks away from a Shine Your Light experience leaves feeling more confident, more supported, and inspired to spread kindness in their own community. That's Cade's legacy — alive in the lives of young people who carry it forward.
