Our fee structure is set up to create a sustainable work model based in principles of resource redistribution and financial accessibility. The course fees cover paying the facilitators a fair wage for curriculum development, class preparation, communications, administration, and time in sessions.
The base cost to participate in *both weekends* of the intensive program as well as practice opportunities in between is two payments of $950 or a one time payment of $1900. (This also includes all food and lodging for session one, and meals during session two).
We encourage you to get organizational sponsorship to help cover these fees. This course will directly support your leadership and organizing skills.
There are a few lower fee spots available prioritizing poor, working class, disabled, and BIPOC communities. Please consider your class background, current access to money, social networks, debt, education, and employment status.
For those of you who have expendable income, inherited wealth, and/or class privilege, we ask that you contribute on the higher end of the sliding scale to help us cover other participant's fees.
Please select a rate below that feels like a generous and accessible offering for you. Payment plans are available - see next question.
Redistribution = $3000: This rate is an invitation to high budget organizations, owning class people, and people with generational wealth to help support the sustainability of this work for participants and facilitators.
Solidarity = $2500: This rate is for you if you (or your organization) have substantial financial resources. This could be due to personal earnings and/or access to intergenerational wealth. Paying this rate extends support to participants without these privileges and acknowledges the value of building a diverse and more equitable community.
True Value = $1900: This rate is for you if you (or your organization) have access to financial security and do not traditionally qualify for financial assistance. Paying this rate recognizes the actual cost and values the time, labor, and resources of facilitators.
Community = $1600: This rate is for you if you can typically afford to meet your basic needs but have minimal expendable income and paying the true value is not possible for you.
Mutual Aid = $1000: This rate is offered in acknowledgment of the stolen indigenous land and legacies of ableism, classism, and anti-blackness that continue to harm members of our community. We offer this rate to honor the ongoing inequity, harm, and barriers to access within professional care work spaces.
*Please make a contribution consistent with the rate you selected on your application and put your name and payment plan in the payment notes (i.e. Bree Smith - 1 of 2 payments for SEEL).*
