Face Down is a semi-autobiographical short film I wrote, am directing, and am starring in. Set entirely in one Brooklyn apartment, it follows adult siblings Joey and Kisa as Kisa visits home after a long absence, confronting her brother and their dying father — surfacing old wounds and unresolved resentment alongside an unexpected tenderness.
We wrapped production on August 20th and are so excited by how well it went. We are now raising funds to recoup production costs and cover post-production (editing, color, sound, and music) and festival submission and travel costs.
