Finishing & Outreach Funds

by Queer Edward II

About this campaign

Spring 1991: queer life is under renewed attack in Britain, and filmmaker Derek Jarman is adapting Christopher Marlowe’s Edward II into a radical protest film. Drawing on extraordinary never-before-seen footage shot by Seamus McGarvey on Jarman’s set, Queer Edward II is about the refusal to separate art from life, politics from pleasure.

Our aim is to raise $100,000 to help with post-production funds to get the film to Sundance 2027, and to organise a series of outreach screenings across North America and the UK.

Thank you for being part of the Queer Edward II production, in tribute to Derek Jarman.

Queer Edward II is a fiscally sponsored project of Entertainment 2 Affect Change (EIN: 46-2660255).
