About this campaign
The Flying Carpet Festival is a mobile, multidisciplinary arts festival and artist residency dedicated to serving vulnerable and refugee children in war-afflicted regions.
Founded in 2018 by Iranian-American composer and TED Fellow Sahba Aminikia, the festival is primarily based in Mardin, southeastern Turkey—a region that has absorbed a massive population of displaced Syrian refugees.
