Help fund A Queer Nigun Project <3

A Queer Nigun Project hosts singing circles for queer community and for queer BIJOCSM (Black, Indigenous, Jews of Color, Sephardi, Mizrahi) community, and we coordinate volunteers to lead singing circles in NYC jails. Primarily through the powerful and accessible medium of wordless melody, we aim create healing singing space for folks who may have felt pushed to the margins.

We’ve been grateful to receive a bit of grant money in recent years, and as our grant cycle comes to a close, we're working to ensure that we can still afford to rent accessible space, to compensate the amazing facilitators, to hire skilled captioners for online events, and more. Our goal is to raise $3600 this month! Any contribution is deeply supportive and appreciated <3

what will these funds support?
$18-54 cover true costs of attendance for queer nigun circles so that we can keep our queer nigun circles free/low-cost for participation
$110 pays for the thoughtful and poetic captioning that you’ll experience at an online circle
$120 pays for a training for volunteers leading nigun circles in NYC jails
$150 pays for an incredible facilitator for an online circle
$200 pays for an incredible facilitator for an in-person circle
$225 pays for wheelchair accessible space rental for an in-person circle
$470 pays ALL COSTS for an online circle with 2 amazing facilitators!
$650 pays ALL COSTS (on average) for an in-person circle with 2 amazing facilitators!

Our fundraising month included an online community concert on Sunday June 22, featuring beloved community leaders Shana Aisenberg, Rena Branson, Riley Chang, Rachel Chang, and more! Thanks to all who attended and particpated :) Our fundraiser will remain online through the first week of July -- we have under $1000 left to reach our goal!
