For nearly two decades, EAP has invested in the Bay Area's cultural workforce, supporting more than 3,000 arts and culture workers through leadership development, mentorship, peer learning, and community-building. Today, EAP reaches more than 300 arts workers annually and has cultivated a network of more than 250 Fellowship alumni who strengthened hundreds of organizations, mentored countless artists, designed new programs, mobilized communities, and improved cultural ecosystems across the Bay Area and beyond.
EAP’s work is ultimately about more than individual careers; it is about ensuring that the Bay Area continues to cultivate the people who preserve cultural knowledge, strengthen civic life, and imagine more just futures and the long-lasting relationships they have. By investing in arts workers, we are investing in the long-term health, resilience, and sustainability of the entire cultural ecosystem.
When arts workers thrive, organizations become stronger. When organizations become stronger, artists have greater opportunities to create, innovate, and contribute to their communities. And when artists and cultural leaders thrive, communities benefit from a richer, more equitable, and more vibrant cultural life.
Through leadership development, peer learning, mentorship, and equity-centered practices, EAP creates a multiplier effect—equipping cultural workers with the tools, relationships, and capacity to strengthen organizations, influence systems, and expand impact far beyond the individuals directly served.
The impact of this investment extends far beyond the individuals who participate. We develop the people who make a just cultural future possible.
