In the wake of sweeping ICE raids and attacks on immigrants, Mariachi Revolución is a documentary short film, following a group of four young Mariachi musicians and dancers in Los Angeles who are protesting through their art. Fighting for their livelihood, their culture, and their future, armed with violins, trumpets, and protest banners.
The film will trace the transformation of four young protagonists as they grow into leaders in their community. Individually they fight their own battles to persevere as artists, and together they find their voices as organizers through a shared love of music. From their quiet internal dreams, to the streets of Los Angeles and stadiums filled with cheering fans around the nation, Mariachi Revolucion captures a pivotal moment in American history and the music at the center of it.
Your generosity helps turn their fight into a film the world needs to see. Thank you.
