Matthew Zachary: LIVE At Merkin Hall

Matthew Zachary Live at Merkin Hall is a one night only benefit concert that brings together solo piano, storytelling, and lived experience to mark 30 years since Matthew’s brain cancer diagnosis and the launch of his book, We The Patients.

This event supports We The Patients, a national patient rights movement working to expose and reduce the real world harm caused by delays, denials, and administrative barriers in American healthcare.

Funds raised help power the work behind the movement, including:
• collecting and amplifying patient stories at scale
• building a national consumer voice that can influence policy and employer decisions
• developing practical tools and education that help people avoid financial and administrative harm during care

We The Patients operates through a nonprofit fiscal sponsorship with Entertainment 2 Affect Change, ensuring that all contributions directly support programmatic work, public engagement, and patient focused initiatives.
