Miles and Worlds Away is a powerful short film about the invisible lives of families navigating incarceration. The film follows two strangers who meet outside of Rikers Island. Harmony is a young woman trying to visit the man she loves. Mike is an older man who came to visit his son but is struggling to walk back through those doors again. What starts with a dead phone and a small act of help slowly becomes a conversation about love, family, incarceration, and the painful truth that sometimes love alone is not enough to save the people we care about.nger.
