We delve deeply into the craft and artistry of conservation—and how this vital, yet increasingly endangered skill is being passed to the next generation at a precarious moment in American history. As society dives deeper into technology and gets further removed from face to face interactions, Conservators are the vanguard of protecting history and stories told by objects and the secrets held within their DNA. This story explores the importance of being an expert, but more importantly sharing that knowledge with future generations and communities that were previously forgotten..
