Opening Doors. Honoring a Legacy. Creating a Place for Everyone. ❤️
Some things are simply too important to leave unfinished.
As the daughter of Virginia and Joe Dente, and the sister of Joey, I know firsthand the importance of creating a world where everyone is welcomed, included, and given the opportunity to participate fully. Their love, compassion, and belief in helping others have shaped every part of who I am and the mission behind Dente’s Dreamers.
Through our partnership with The Malverne, we are working to create more than a theater. We are building a place where individuals of all abilities can learn, work, create, experience the arts, and become an active part of their community. A place where accessibility isn't an afterthought, but a promise.
Now, we have an opportunity to make that promise a reality.
We are launching a fundraising initiative to raise $30,000 for fully handicap-accessible doors at The Malverne. These doors will represent so much more than a physical entrances. They will symbolize independence, dignity, opportunity, and the belief that everyone deserves to walk through the same doors and feel that they belong.
I could never be Virginia and Joe Dente’s daughter, or Joey’s sister, without making sure this theater is accessible to everyone. It would mean the world to me to have these doors dedicated in their honor—a lasting tribute to the family who taught me that love is best demonstrated through action.
We invite you to join us in opening these doors.
If you are able, please consider making a donation in honor of Virginia, Joe, and Joey Dente Jr. through our website. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to our goal and helps create a lasting legacy of inclusion.
Together, we can open doors to opportunity, friendship, creativity, and belonging.
Thank you for believing in our mission, supporting Dente’s Dreamers, and helping make The Malverne a place for EVERYONE.
With love and gratitude,
Maria Dente
