Sanctuary Embodied’s fee structure is designed to create a sustainable work model based in principles of resource redistribution and financial accessibility. Course fees help to cover curriculum development, participant communications, administration, facilitation, venue, food, and the many other logistics.
The actual cost for us to run this program is $750 per participant. We recognize this can be a barrier for our communities to access so we offer payment plans and a sliding scale with rates subsidized by our fundraising.
The base level contribution for this program (including 10 hours of training and 3 hours of coaching) is two payments of $375 or a one time payment of $750.
We encourage you to get organizational sponsorship to help cover these fees. This course will directly support your leadership and organizing skills.
There are a few lower fee spots available prioritizing poor, working class, disabled, and BIPOC communities. Please consider your class background, current access to money, social networks, debt, education, and employment status.
For those of you who have expendable income, inherited wealth, and/or class privilege, we ask that you contribute on the higher end of the sliding scale to help us cover other participant's fees.
Solidarity = $850: This rate is for you if you (or your organization) have substantial financial resources. This could be due to high organizational budget, personal earnings and/or access to intergenerational wealth. Paying this rate extends support to participants without these privileges and acknowledges the value of building a diverse and more equitable community.
Actual = $750: This rate is for you if you (or your organization) have access to financial security and do not traditionally qualify for financial assistance. Paying this rate recognizes the actual cost and values the time, labor, and resources of facilitators.
Base = $650: This rate is for you if you can typically afford to meet your basic needs but have minimal expendable income and paying the actual cost is not possible and/or would inhibit you from meeting your basic needs.
Mutual Aid = $550 This rate is offered in acknowledgment of the stolen indigenous land and legacies of ableism, classism, and anti-Blackness that continue to harm members of our community. We offer this rate to honor the ongoing inequity, harm, and barriers to accessing resources. Please note, we are generally able to offer 2-4 spots at this tier.
