André Thierry, a composer and accordion master, created an inspiring music program designed for all ages. This program fuses traditional and modern compositions, allowing participants to immerse themselves in Kreole culture, history, and the lively rhythms of Zydeco music. This unique genre from Southwest Louisiana originated in the mid-1900s.
The "Are You Ready To Learn" program offers interactive opportunities to explore the blend of African and Native American Blues, alongside French Kreole dance tunes infused with Afro-Caribbean rhythms. Participants enjoy playing classic Zydeco instruments, such as washboards, drums, and accordions.
