The Advancing Midwifery Fund provides flexible support for CAM to pursue the opportunities that can make the greatest difference for midwives, families, and communities throughout the state.

Your support helps CAM:

• Grow the midwifery workforce by expanding educational pathways and reducing financial barriers for future midwives.
• Strengthen research and evidence about community birth in California.
• Build the field through statewide planning, public education, collaboration, and initiatives designed to expand access to midwifery care.
• Strengthen the foundation CAM needs to sustain this work, including communications, technology, governance, volunteer infrastructure, and administrative capacity.

This work ranges from scholarships and workforce development to research, public education, statewide convening, and new models for increasing access to community birth.

This fall: Two Films. One Conversation.

As part of this next chapter, CAM is bringing Allowed to Birth and Deliver Us to California audiences, using film to bring midwives, families, advocates, partners, and community members together around the future of birth.

The screenings are one expression of a much larger effort: strengthening the relationships, knowledge, public understanding, and infrastructure needed for midwifery to thrive in California.
