ABOUT THE FUND
The Altadena Soil Relief Fund (ASRF) is a fiscally sponsored project of Charity On Top, a Pasadena-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. ASRF was created to expand access to soil testing, science based soil treatment, and educational resources for properties impacted by the Eaton Fire. As Altadena rebuilds, many residents are discovering that soil health is an important part of a safe and sustainable recovery. Through the work of our local soil experts and project management team, soil assessments, treatment planning, and community education efforts have helped identify and address post-fire soil health concerns while supporting residents in making informed decisions about their property.
To date, more than 75 properties have received soil recovery support, 11 active composting hubs have been established throughout Altadena, and hundreds of residents have received guidance, education, and resources regardless of insurance status or financial circumstances.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Recovery takes all of us!
Your support helps expand access to soil testing, soil recovery services, education, workforce training, and community-based solutions that support Altadena's long-term recovery. Whether you make a donation, share our mission with others, connect us with potential partners, or help raise awareness, you are helping more families access the resources they need to rebuild safely and confidently. Together, we can help restore the health of the land while strengthening the community that depends on it.
HOW DONATIONS ARE USED
Donations support soil testing, treatment assistance, labor, materials, education, workforce training, and the development of local composting hubs that produce biologically rich compost for soil restoration efforts throughout Altadena. Every dollar helps expand access to critical soil recovery resources and allows more residents to benefit from science-based solutions that support healthy land, healthy homes, and healthy communities.
EVERY CONTRIBUTION MATTERS
Whether you make a one-time gift, become a monthly supporter, share our mission, or introduce us to businesses, organizations, and individuals who may wish to get involved, your support helps recovery take root. Together, we can help ensure that rebuilding begins with healthy soil, because healthy soil is the foundation of a healthy community.
Donate. Share. Participate. Help Altadena grow stronger from the ground up.
Sincerely,
The Altadena Soils Relief Fund Team and 301 Organics
