the training ground sf (ttgsf) empowers dancers to move boldly, think critically, and build lasting artistic lives. Through a balance of rigorous work and creative play, we guide dancers to expand their technical range, deepen their artistic voices, and build resilience for a dynamic professional world.
Rooted in classical ballet and informed by contemporary practices, our programs offer comprehensive curricula reflecting the evolving landscape of dance today.
Our programs include:
- The Training Ground: a year-round, full-time program for pre-professional dancers ages 18-25. Audition required.
- Training Roots: the opportunity to participate in The Training Ground for seasonal trimesters.
- co-LAB Workshops: drop-in workshops offering deep dives with featured ttgsf faculty and guest artists. Open to the public; no audition needed.
- THE HATCHERY by ttgsf: a summer incubator series for dance artists ready to explore, experiment, and expand their creative practice. Open to the public; no audition needed.
