The Unfinished Dance

About this campaign
From the first-hand accounts of the survivors, victims' families, first responders, local law enforcement, and community representatives - the voices of the people who lived through the 2023 Monterey Park ballroom mass shooting, we piece together a sobering picture of how the shocking incident dawned onto this peaceful, primarily Asian American immigrant community in Southern California and permanently changed it, the real human impact behind the news headlines, and the long and painful process of reflection and healing.
(Star Ballroom in the 90s, bringing joy to countless immigrant patrons.)
(Star Ballroom now, after the shooting incident; closed indefinitely.)
The Unfinished Dance is a fiscally sponsored project of International Documentary Association (EIN: 95-3911227).
