The Voice of Resilience Project

The war ends. The story doesn't.

Every day, 17.6 veterans die by suicide another 16 by overdose. Between 11–20% live with PTSD in any given year. 1 in 10 are fighting a substance use disorder. And tonight, more than 32,000 veterans have nowhere to call home.

These aren't just numbers. They're what happens after the uniform comes off and the world stops watching — when a veteran comes home carrying something no one else can see, and starts to believe no one else understands.

We started The Voices of Resilience Project to change that.

We're filming, preserving, and archiving 250 veteran interviews — real, unfiltered conversations about service, struggle, and what it took to make it through. This isn't just a documentary series. It's a living record, built so that the next veteran who feels alone can find someone who's felt exactly what they feel — and made it out the other side.

Sharing a story is healing. Watching one is too.

Here's where your gift goes:

It costs $3,500 to fully produce, edit, and permanently archive one veteran's story — professional film crew, editing, captioning, and secure long-term hosting so these stories outlast all of us.

• $50 covers archive storage and hosting for one story
• $100 funds professional captioning on one interview
• $250 covers outreach and coordination to bring one more veteran into the archive
• $750 supports a full day of behind-the-scenes production — crew, equipment, and care
• $3,500 sponsors one veteran's story, start to finish — Battalian-level pre-roll credit
• $10,500 fully funds three stories — Regiment-level pre-roll credit

Our goal is $875,000 — enough to fund all 250 stories in this first chapter of the archive.

Why this matters to us

Our families have deep roots in service. We've watched what silence does. We've also watched what it looks like when someone finally feels safe enough to speak — and what it does for the person watching, who didn't know anyone else understood.

This project exists because both of those moments are worth protecting.
