UPDATE as of April 2026: Due to the war the Biennale has been postponed until fall 2026. I am still preparing the piece to travel and hopefully there will be peace soon so that people can first be safe and well and then art can happen again.

This campaign will help me and one of my performers travel to Jerusalem in May 2026 to perform my newest dance work, *perambulations*, at the Jerusalem Biennale. Inspired by the teachings of Sharon Brous, the work explores walking, encounter, and the intimate spaces that open between us, centering the voices and experiences of older Jewish women. This trip will also be my first return to Israel in more than forty years. Your support will help cover the travel and production costs needed to bring this deeply personal work—and this long-awaited return—to the stage. Thank you for supporting Jennifer Gwirtz & Company.
What your donations will support:
$18 = approximately how much a restaurant meal will cost in Jerusalem
$20-$35 = the approximate cost for eSim cellular service for one phone
$50 = Costume for one performer
$95 = Cost of taxi from Ben Gurion Airport to Jerusalem
$250 = 1 month of rehearsal space in Portland
$1,100 = pays for one artist fee, which includes performance
$2,500 = Round trip plane ticket for one person
