On October 6, 2026, the Parkinson's Disease Alliance of Wisconsin will convene Wisconsin's first-ever Parkinson's Disease Registry Planning Summit at the Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells. This invite-only, full-day gathering will bring together researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and advocates from across the state to lay the foundation for a statewide Parkinson's disease registry.
A registry is a critical public health tool. It will help us understand who is living with Parkinson's disease in Wisconsin, where they are, and what they need. Without it, Wisconsin families continue to navigate a landscape that is fragmented, underfunded, and largely invisible to the systems that should be supporting them.
The summit is the next major milestone in a years-long effort to build that registry. Your sponsorship makes it possible.

About the Parkinson's Disease Alliance of WI
The Parkinson's Disease Alliance of Wisconsin was founded by Stephanie Johnson after her husband Rick, who lived with Parkinson's disease for 13 years, passed away in 2023. What began as a personal mission has grown into a statewide coalition of more than 14,000 community members, including people living with Parkinson's, family caregivers, neurologists, researchers, legislators, and community advocates.
Parkinson's Disease Alliance of WI operates under the fiscal sponsorship of Embolden WI, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Our coalition is united around a single conviction: Wisconsin must do more for the 14,000+ people living with Parkinson's disease here.
