Concrete Kingdom follows sixteen-year-old Jonas, who lives in a Queens housing project with his abusive stepfather and plans to run away with his girlfriend Maria. Over the course of a single day, the two scramble to gather bus money, pinballing through New York City as failed drug deals, chaotic negotiations, and volatile encounters push the night toward disaster. Blending the urgency of a race-against-the-clock thriller with grounded character drama, the film uses naturalistic performances, handheld long takes, and a rhythmic local soundscape to capture Jonas’s painful reckoning with adulthood, love, and responsibility. The project is currently in development/pre-production, with the team raising funds for an August 2026 shoot.
