Donations to The Riverbank will support the next phase of production, including documentary recording, archival digitization, editing, sound design, transcription, interview travel, and story development.
Built from over a decade of family recordings, prison calls, interviews, court records, and original reporting, The Riverbank is a seven-part audio documentary series about violence, memory, and survival inside one Black family coming of age during the era of mass incarceration.
The series investigates the conditions that existed before the visible violence, what families learned to survive inside it, and what it took to stay afloat once they were already in the river.
