‘Autumn Gold’ was made for a simple reason. To reveal the full truth about a secret U.S. government program that used U.S. citizens without their informed consent or knowledge as human guinea pigs in secret biological and chemical testing that harmed their health.
This fact was covered up for nearly 40 years. Although the truth about the program was proven true nearly 25 years ago — about what happened and how — the full truth about the program and the medical harm it did to the thousands exposed has not been fully acknowledged by the U.S. government. Those exposed and used have never been provided the medical care they’re entitled to or any compensation for their unlawful use.
They have been forgotten, denied justice and left to die by their own government. These tests were illegal at the time they happened and they still are today. The film’s call to action to inform the larger general public that this travesty took place and that these American citizens deserve final justice.
