Fundraiser for Kids Programming: Simchat Diaspora

The Fun Gan/Jewish kids education group would love to join the upcoming cohort of the Simchat Diaspora In Community program, and we’re seeking funding to make it possible. The program’s purpose is to assist grassroots Jewish kids ed havurot like ours in “exploring what a pro-liberation, Diaspora-centered Jewish education looks like,” and would provide a curriculum, coaching, and connection to other groups doing similar work. We’re hoping it will lend additional momentum, structure, and creative opportunity to the already vibrant and thoughtful (though tiny!) alternative Hebrew school for kids at Chesed. The program runs for one year and costs $1100. Chesed Havurah is able to pay half of this expense ($550) and we are hoping to raise an additional $550.
