About this campaign

Women Independent Producers (WIP) is a nonprofit 501(c)(6) membership collective headquartered in New York and Los Angeles, dedicated to supporting, empowering, and amplifying the work of women and non-binary producers across film, television, and digital media around the world.

Founded in 2016 as a collective to foster collaboration, mentorship, and shared resources among women producers, WIP provides a platform for networking, skill-building, self-care and advocacy. Members are primarily independent producers, spanning both emerging and seasoned professionals, and who work on a wide range of media projects, from feature films to documentaries and digital content. WIP’s mission centers on amplifying women’s voices in the industry and creating opportunities for female-led projects to thrive.

  • We believe producers are here to serve the story—to protect it, nurture it, and guide it from vision to reality.

  • We believe the work of producing deserves dignity, recognition, and parity, because without producers, stories remain only ideas.

  • We believe in community over competition, where producers support one another through the complexities and courage required to bring stories to life.

  • And we believe that when producers are empowered, stories—and the people they reach—are transformed.

This is the work of Women Independent Producers.

Women Independent Producers is a fiscally sponsored project of Entertainment 2 Affect Change (EIN: 46-2660255).
